North Bay Police are continuing to investigate after a serious crash on Lakeshore Drive, near Marshall Avenue.
A van and a motorcycle collided after five o’clock Wednesday. The man who was driving the motorcycle was transported to hospital, reportedly with life-threatening injuries. Both vehicles required towing.
Police had Lakeshore Drive from Marshall to Clifford closed for several hours last night. The Ontario Provincial Police was also involved in the investigation last night. Around 11:00pm, the roadway was re-opened.

Martin was transported to North Bay Regional Health Centre with serious injuries following the collision. His injuries are serious and he remains in hospital. The page also included a bit more detail about what he’s dealing with. The extent of the injury is so severe, the doctors may have to take the leg above the knee. Everything is dependent on his head injury, and how he recovers from that. They will know more on Friday when the orthopedic surgery reopens the leg.
