North Bay Police have arrested a 22-year-old North Bay man after an investigation into alleged domestic violence.
Police were called to a neighbourhood north of High Street and south of Highway 17 early Sunday morning. Witnesses reported a dispute between a man and a woman.
Police say the man and his partner were having a heated argument on the street. The woman began screaming as the man started chasing her, which woke up the person who called police. It’s alleged that the man then punched her, but she didn’t require any medical attention as a result.
Police found the man on foot a short time later and he was arrested. He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on September 27th.
