Hope you filled up yesterday, because the price of gas is up at most places around the city. Prices rose about six percent, with the average price sitting around $103.9 at most gas stations.
11 gas stations are currently over 103.0 according to Gasbuddy.com, with the most expensive place to fill up being the Petro-Canada on Algonquin at 104.3.
But, there are still a few affordable places to fill up in the city. Five gas stations are under 98 cents a litre. Including the Duchesnay convenience store at 93.7, the Eagles Nest also at 93.7 and the Mac’s on Main Street at 97.4.
This time last year prices were sitting at 97.5, so we’ve seen a bit of a rise. But that shouldn’t be a surprise, prices are rising across the province. The average price of gas in Ontario today is 100.6, where a year ago it was 99.8.
