The manager of the Canadian Cancer Society for North Bay and Area has impressive numbers where West Nipissing volunteers are involved. Andrew Lane says volunteers in West Nipissing drove clients more than 56,000 kilometers for various treatments. In all, they made more than 500 trips involving 59 people with cancer. Lane released the numbers to West Nipissing council while making the public aware of the activities the society takes part in.
