OPP in Mattawa are commending two men who rescued a North Bay couple who got hurt while canoeing. The couple was paddling near Mattawa when they hit rapids and were thrown overboard. The rapids carried them into rocks injuring them but they managed to make it to shore. Luckily two men saw debris in the water and found the injured couple a short time later. They called 911 and an ambulance crew treated the injured pair.
