Vic Fedeli says Toronto power-brokers have no problem understanding that Alberta and Saskatchewan have built their success on resources. But the Nipissing MPP says it’s a different story when they consider Ontario. Fedeli says the south doesn’t look at the province as resource-based and is still focused on the manufacturing sector. Fedeli says unfortunately manufacturing won’t cut it in the future and says our natural resources are going to be the turnaround for the province. He made this point to the business group and believes he’s got some agreeing that Northern Ontario can help in the turnaround. The north’s biggest economic boom in decades could come from the Ring of Fire chromite find which Fedeli says is stalled under the Liberals.
