Ontario Nurses’ Association Members approve new negotiated agreement with North East CCAC

Ontario Nurses’ Association members and allied health professionals at the North East Community Care Access Centre have ratified a new, negotiated agreement. About 300 Ontario Nurses Association members work in North Bay, Sudbury, Sault Ste Marie, Timmins, Parry Sound and Kirkland Lake.

ONA First Vice-President Vicki McKenna says their members work as care coordinators, placement coordinators, care connectors, wound care nurses, mental health nurses, addictions nurses, rapid response nurses and in telehomecare. McKenna says they provide excellent front-line care, school health support services, and therapy services in this region. Full details about the agreement haven’t been released.
