A group of Northern politicians are calling on the province to justify the sale of Ontera to Bell Aliant. The leaders decided in a teleconference yesterday that it was important to continue pressuring the Ontario government to communicate with constituents on what effects the sale will have on Northern Communities. The group’s biggest fear is that telecommunications prices will dramatically rise if the sale goes through. The sale has been pushed back to October while the competition bureau does a review.
