A 31-year-old man has been arrested by the OPP for assault following an altercation between family members in Phelps Township. Police say they were contacted this past Friday around 7:30pm about the altercation, where a man and a woman were assaulted.
After an investigation, the man was arrested and charged with two counts of assault. He was held in custody until Sunday, March 5th when he was released following a bail hearing. He is scheduled to appear in court in North Bay on March 14th.
