NBMCA says snow depth in the area around average for this time of the year

According to the North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority, the current snow depth in the North Bay area is about equal to the long-term average depth at this time of year. Water Resources Specialist Joel Harrison says that’s also the consensus from all three reading stations around the area.

Harrison says due to the repeated thawing and refreezing of the snow pack, the numbers have evened out compared to a few weeks ago. Harrison also added water content in the snow is 14 per cent above the long term average.
