MPP Vic Fedeli announces funding for Nipissing First Nation and Nipissing Business Centre

MPP Vic Fedeli announced today that $225,000 has been awarded to the Nipissing First Nation through the Status of Women Ministry. The funding will go towards the ongoing delivery of the Employment Training for Abused and At-risk Women program. Fedeli says this money will ensure the continued operation and success of a vital program that plays a critical role in helping those that need it most.

Fedeli also announced $23,804 has been awarded through the Microlending for Women in Ontario Program for the Business Centre of Nipissing and Parry Sound. The program supports low-income women who are seeking to start their own business by providing financial literacy training, entrepreneurial mentoring, skills development, and life skills support. Fedeli says these skills will ensure women’s success in starting and growing their businesses. Fedeli finished by saying the support of this program allows talented women to pursue their aspirations of creating a business, and in turn helps to grow the local economy.
