Hospital to get co-gen system

North Bay council is giving North Bay Hydro a loan to build a co-generating power system at the local hospital.  In the event of a power outage the hospital can only meet 40 percent of its requirements to keep equipment running.  A co-gen plant increases the requirements up to 85 percent.  The 10-year loan is valued at up to $4.1 million at 3.6 percent annual interest.
