Firefighters snuff out snowmobile and garage fires

North Bay firefighters had to contend with a snowmobile catching fire in West Ferris.  Somehow the sled erupted into flames and the owner’s attempt to put it out with snow failed.  Firefighters doused the flames, but not before they caused extensive damage to the recreational vehicle.  Also, a second snow machine close to the first one suffered extensive damage because of its proximity of the flames.  What caused the fire isn’t known.   Meanwhile,  a snow blower stored in a garage on Tower Drive in North Bay is thought to have started a garage fire.  By the time fire firefighters arrived, the garage was totally engulfed in flames.  It didn’t take them long to kill the fire.  No one was hurt.
