A big weekend at the FIRST Robotics Competition for Team 1305

For the first time, Team 1305 swept the competition at the FIRST Robotics Competition in North Bay over the weekend, collecting two blue banners. Team 1305 also took home the Chairman’s Award and was one of three finalists for the safety award.

Thanks to the win, Team 1305 will head to Mississauga next weekend for the Ontario District championship. This weekend’s competition was the third for Team 1305 this year, and because of the points collected at the first two events they earned a berth in Mississauga.

24 of the 60 teams competing there will advance to the world championship in St. Louis on April 26th. Team 1305 will also be competing for one of nine Engineering Inspiration Awards and Chairman’s Awards. The winners of both those awards also head to the worlds.
