Drivers are being reminded by police to remove studded tires from their vehicles during the month of May. If you live in Northern Ontario, you can legally use studded tires on your vehicle from from September 1st to May 31st .
A release from police says drivers that continue using studded tires on their vehicles from May 1st to September 30th are violating Ontario’s Highway Traffic Act. Violators could face an $85 fine, plus court costs and a victim surcharge, for a total of $110.
