Successful showing for Team 1305 at FIRST World Championship in St. Louis

North Bay’s Team 1305 is back in the city following a successful showing at FIRST World Robotics Championship in St Louis, Missouri. Team 1305 competed along-side 700 teams and more than 15,000 students from 33 countries at the event.

They won an Entrepreneurship Award, and were also recognized for their safety awareness program. In the division qualifiers, Team 1305 and their robot Clark finished fourth overall and won their quarter-final, before losing in the semi-finals. Team Captain Jessica Kelso also made the shortlist for the Dean’s Award.

This was the 14th straight appearance for the team at the World Championship event. Team 1305 will now take seven days to rest before getting back together to look at the success from this year before beginning to make plans for next year.
