Local police looking for the public’s help in finding a shoe thief

North Bay Police are investigating a theft at a sports store on McKeown Avenue over the weekend. Police are looking for a woman involved. Police say on Saturday afternoon around 4:30pm the woman entered the store and spoke to a salesperson in the shoe department. She requested two pairs of men’s basketball shoes, and then went to another section of the store where she removed the shoes from their boxes and placed them in her shoulder bag before leaving the store without paying for them.

She left the empty boxes tucked under a store display. The woman is described as Caucasian, in her 20s with long brown hair that was tied up into a bun. She was wearing ripped blues jeans, white summer shoes with no socks, black long sleeved light jacket or sweater over a white blouse at the time. Two pairs of men’s size 11 Nike shoes were taken. One pair of Nike Zoom high tops and the other a pair of Nike Prime Hype DF-2 highs. The total value of the shoes is just over $200.
