Near North Board of Trustees looking for input on ARC recommendations

Following the ARC making their recommendations on the future of six schools in North Bay Near North trustees are looking for feedback from the public. The ARC recommends closing the three affected elementary schools and building a new school at the W.J. Fricker site. They also recommend closing Chippewa Secondary School, while refurbishing West Ferris and Widdifield.

Anyone who wants to make a presentation to the board of trustees can do so by submitting a written version before the public meeting at West Ferris on June 12th. Members of the public can send their written submission to their local trustee or to [email protected]. Each person will be given 5 minutes to speak to their written submission. A final decision will be made by trustees at their regular Board meeting on June 27th.
