A 29-year-old Powassan man has been arrested by the OPP for impaired driving. According to police, this past Saturday they were patrolling on Highway 17 using the Automatic Licence Plate Recognition vehicle when they were alerted to a vehicle with expired plates.
The vehicle was stopped and as a result, the driver was charged with driving over 80 milligrams of alcohol in his blood. He’s scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on May 30th.
