The North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation has launched their new fundraising program for the year. The foundation has two initiatives they’re focusing on. They want to raise over 1.5 million dollars to fund a Central Fetal Monitoring System, and make improvements to the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit. Fundraising and donations to the foundation allow the hospital to purchase specialized medical equipment for our community. The hospital just acquired a Green Light laser for prostate surgery, which allows patients to leave the hospital the same day they get a procedure done.
