Ninth annual ‘Cruisin’ Downtown’ car and bike show a big hit

The ninth annual ‘Cruisin’ Downtown’ car and bike show this past Saturday in North Bay was another success. Around 100 classic, new and specialty vehicles and bikes were on display. Mother Nature also played a part, as the nice temperatures and clear skies brought out hundreds to check out some of the machines on display.

The event took place on Main Street, and was hosted by Downtown North Bay. DIA Executive Director Jeff Serran gave thanks to everyone that came out, as well as Jim Kenzie from Kenzie’s Korner on TSN’s Motoring. Serran also announced that Rick Vezina and his 1973 Triumph GT6 took home the Rick Stack Memorial Trophy for Best Workmanship. A couple other winners include: Bill Norton – Best HASC, Paul Boyer – Mayor’s Choice Motorcycle, Allan Griese – Best Cruiser, Wayne Nashkawa – Mayor’s Choice Car, Val and Murray Norman – Participant’s Choice, and Wayne Jones – Best Sports Bike.
