Car and Bike show announced for Summer in the Park festival

The annual Summer in the Park Car & Bike Show has been announced for Sunday, August 6th. Organizers are calling on all motor-heads, grease monkeys and car and motorcycle enthusiasts to mark their calendars. It will be held on Main Street, and feature hundreds of classic and tuner cars and bikes that will be shined up, polished up, buffed up and looking their best.

The show runs from 11:00am to 4:00pm, with award presentations set to take place at 3:00pm. Awards will be handed out for Show & Shine Classes (Best Muscle, Best Classic, Best Tuner, Best Truck and Best Bike and Specialty Classes (Best Interior, Best Wheels, Best Paint, Best ICE, Best Engine, Best Detailed, Best Distance Travelled, Hong Le’s Best Workmanship). Awards for first, second and third will also be given to classes, including best Acura/Honda, best European, best Mazda, best Nissan/Infiniti, best Pontiac, best Chevrolet, best Chevrolet classic/muscle, best Dodge/Chrysler, best Dodge classic/muscle, best Ford, best Ford classic/muscle, best Ford Mustang PRE 1992, best Ford Mustang 1992 +, best domestic other, best import other, best truck (2nd and 3rd), best bike (2nd and 3rd).

Show Co-Ordinator, Vicki Le says trophies will be given out to the winners, but really all the vehicles at the show are winners. Le says the effort and dedication of the owners is really evident. Summer in the Park Committee Member Jeff Serran added this is a great partnership between Summer in the Park and Downtown North Bay.
