One of this year’s Summer in the Park events is off site on Main Street. It’s the Park Car and Bike Show on Main Street. The event will feature numerous vehicles and categories include Show and Shine Classes and Best Bike and Specialty Classes. First, second and third place awards will be given to various Classes like the Best European vehicle and the Best Mazda. North American-built vehicles will also be recognized with the same awards like the Best Chevrolet, Best Dodge/Chrysler and Best Ford just to name a few. Each of these divisions will also see awards given to the vehicles that fit the Classic and Muscle categories. Entries to enter your car, truck or bike are now being accepted online. The address is www.northbaysummerinthepark.ca and participants can also register the day of the Park Car and Bike Show from 9:00am to 11:00am. Registration is free.
Jeff Serran, committee member of Summer in the Park, says the one day event is part of the Downtown Free-4-All weekend festivities which include the Rage in the Cage dodgeball tournament. The Park Car and Bike Show is Sunday, August 6th from 11:00am to 4:00pm. The awards ceremony begins at 3:00pm. The event is a partnership between Summer in the Park and the Downtown Improvement Area.
