Canada 150 celebrations announced for North Bay

Canada 150 festivities in North Bay have been announced for July 1st. Things kick off at noon at the ACT Shelter on the waterfront with the singing of O Canada and the official cake-cutting ceremony.

After the opening ceremonies, the North Bay and District Multicultural Centre will be hosting its 10th annual Multicultural Showcase. The event features an afternoon of performers highlighting the diversity of North Bay. Lots of stuff will be going on throughout the day as well, and the Kiwanis band shell will feature a few local musical performances. High Holy Days and Cory Marquardt highlight the musical lineup.

A Fireworks Finale will complete the celebration at 10:00pm at the waterfront, and the Moose Rocks the Boat Fireworks cruise is scheduled to depart at 8:30pm. Tickets can be purchased at the Chief Ticket office on the Government Dock or by calling 705-494-8167 for $20 each.
