Harassment of former girlfriend leads to arrest for a North Bay man

A 33-year-old North Bay man has been arrested by police following an investigation into criminal harassment. Police say the man got into an argument with his former girlfriend back in April in her home, and pulled out an open pocket knife and pointed it at her. He eventually lowered the blade, and left without causing any injuries. After this incident, it’s alleged the man harassed his former girlfriend again.

A search after his arrest yesterday revealed he was in possession of things that had been reported missing from his former girlfriend’s home. The man is facing one count of assault with a weapon, one count of criminal harassment and one count of possession of property obtained by crime. He was held in custody for a bail hearing today.
