Thefts from unlocked vehicles in the Bonfield area drawing the attention of the OPP

The North Bay OPP are warning people about an issue that the local police have been dealing with for some time now: thefts from unlocked vehicles. Police say over the weekend they received multiple complaints of people entering unlocked vehicles and making off with valuables and other things inside.

The reports were from the Bonfield Township area and along Highway 531. The OPP wants to remind people to always lock their doors whenever they leave their vehicle, and make sure to take any valuables with them. If not, they ask you make sure they aren’t in plain sight in the vehicle.
