Nipissing MPP travelling to Sudbury next week to present on Hydro One’s rate increase application

The Ontario Energy Board will be visiting Sudbury on June 28th, and Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli has registered to attend and make a presentation to board members. Members will discuss the rate review process in an effort to help consumers learn more about Hydro One’s costs in its rate application. The application is for an increase in its distribution rates that would happen over a five-year period beginning on January 1st.

Fedeli plans to discuss the impact that high hydro rates in Ontario are having on families. He will also discuss how the Financial Accountability Officer has shared his concerns over the provincial government’s latest hydro rate plan.

The event is at The ParkSide Centre in Sudbury and doors open at 6:00pm with presentations beginning at 6:30pm. It will be a chance for people to find out how they can get involved in the OEB’s process, and make their voices heard on the issue.
