Near North District School Board trustees will vote on the future of three elementary schools in North Bay tonight. Consolidating E.W. Norman, E.T. Carmichael and W.J. Fricker schools into one new school at the W.J. Fricker site is the recommended option.
The future of the three public high schools will not be decided tonight. That was originally the plan, but officials announced the decision will be delayed to allow for more time for discussion. No decision is expected to be made on the high schools until September, but with a provincial election coming in the next year that date could be subject to change.
