North Bay OPP dealing with a pair of incidents from earlier this week

The North Bay OPP has arrested a 43-year-old man from Upper Kingsclear, New Brunswick for assault and theft after an incident Monday morning. Police say they were contacted about an argument between two men at a gas station on Highway 17 in Corbeil that became heated. The man will appear in court in August.

The North Bay OPP also responded to several complaints of vehicles that had been broken into recently.  The thefts happened at various locations in the town of Bonfield and along Highway 531 sometime between the evening of June 15th and the next morning. At one of the residences a flashlight was located and the OPP is looking for assistance from anyone who may recognize the flashlight and whom it belongs to.

The OPP would like to remind the public to lock their unattended vehicles at all times and to not leave valuable items in plain view. They also ask you park in a well-lit area, close all windows, keep your driver’s license and vehicle registration in your wallet or purse and report any suspicious activity.
