Invest North Bay releases video to celebrate Canada’s 150th in the city

North Bay recently paid tribute to our community’s military history on Armed Forces Day. The event was held on June 16th and welcomed thousands to Canadore College’s Aviation Campus. It was followed by the City’s kick-off to Canada 150 celebrations on June 17th, with an air demonstration and concert at the North Bay waterfront.

The video being released today (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGEy69lCwvg) was produced by Patrick Gilbert Productions and shows the celebration and the City’s kick off to Canada 150 festivities which will continue into this long weekend.

Invest North Bay Spokesman George Burton says it’s a pleasure and honor to serve as Honorary Colonel of 22 Wing North Bay, and the recent community Armed Forces Day festivities captured in this video, remind them of all the contributions made by those that serve in the Canadian forces.

Mayor Al McDonald is encouraging residents and visitors to enjoy the Canada Day celebrations at the downtown waterfront this weekend. McDonald says there are many exciting events planned to help celebrate Canada’s 150th Birthday. He says they are pleased that their community, like so many others across the country, will come together to enjoy a fun filled day and reflect on Canada’s history.
