Taxpayer group battles with two North Bay councillors at meeting

Tempers flared between two North Bay councillors and the Taxpayers Association last night at council.   Association spokesman Don Rennick claimed North Bay Hydro rates are high because the city uses some of that money for projects.  Councillor Mac Bain told Rennick he created the impression that Hydro and council were doing something illegal which they aren’t.  And councillor Daryl Vaillancourt asked Rennick why it’s him and not the association president who makes suggestions to council.  The president of the taxpayers group is also councillor Mark King.  The questioned angered Rennick and he walked away from the podium.
