We’ll find out later this morning details of a big announcement coming down in Bonfield. The announcement involves a proposed forestry sector business that will create a very significant economic impact for the region. The Mattawa-Bonfield Economic Development Corporation and the proponent of the project will talk about the project. The announcement will address what stage the development is at and the permit work underway to make the proposal a reality. The mayors in the Mattawa-Bonfield corridor as well as MP Anthony Rota and MPP Vic Fedeli are expected at the event. However the proposed business is strictly a private enterprise venture with no injection of government money.
