Starting today, Highway 11 between Seymour Street and Lakeshore Drive will be reduced to one lane in each direction beginning. Traffic travelling southbound will be diverted to the northbound lane, and the speed limit will be reduced to 60 kilometres/hour on the cross-over lane and to 80 kilometres/hour on the travel lane. The traffic interruption is expected to be in place until August 31st.
Additional heads up for drivers if any other ramp closures or traffic diversions will be provided two days ahead of any plans. The construction project is designed to improve the pavement condition, ride quality, safety and operational characteristics along this section of the highway.
