Rod Raycroft has been announced at the new executive director of Northeastern Ontario Tourism. Chair of the Board of Directors Guy Lamarche made the announcement yesterday. Lamarche says Raycroft’s leadership skills, his marketing expertise, and his extensive knowledge of the tourism industry make him the ideal candidate to take NeONT to the next level.
Raycroft was most recently the manager of the Mount Washington Resort Association in Courtenay, B.C. He has held managerial positions in marketing and communications with the Yukon government’s Department of Tourism and Culture, and has also held senior communications positions in the federal government with Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development.
Raycroft says Northeastern Ontario is an amazing destination. He says he’s honoured to become the executive director of an organization that will continue to build on its accomplishments by working on long-term goals, creating better economic opportunities in our communities for our industry members and their residents. Raycroft begins his role as executive director of Northeastern Ontario Tourism July 24th.
