Ontario’s Environmental Commissioner is worried about the future of Nipissing’s Algonquin Park. Gord Miller says that the park’s ecosystem is already being damaged from logging. In a report released yesterday, Gord questions why close to 2/3’rds of the park isn’t protected from logging. Over three hundred provincial parks are completely protected from logging in Ontario, and Miller wants the same for Algonquin. He says there’s ample surrounding areas that can be used for logging.
