Kicking Moose tournament is approaching

The second annual kicking moose tournament is coming up. The two-day event hosts martial arts competitions and workshops. It runs March 15-16. Here are the details:

Description

On the weekend of March 15th and 16th, North Bay martial arts schools will be hosting the Second Annual Invitational Martial Arts Tournament & Workshops in North Bay. Martial artists are welcome to register. Open to Karate, Kung Fu, Taekwondo, Hapkido, Jujitsu and Wushu.

The tournament competition is open to all ages and belt/sash levels. Divisions are broken up by age and belt level.

The weekend will comprise: a Friday night early registration; the tournament on Saturday the 15th at Nipissing University Student Athletics Centre, followed by a banquet at the Clarion Resort, Pinewood Park; and a 3-hour set of workshops on the morning of Sunday the 16th, also at the Clarion. With no prior martial arts experience required, the workshops give an opportunity, for not just martial artists but the community at large, to try something of interest to them. The entrance fee is a donation for the food bank.
