Local police arrest man after police pursuit

North Bay Police have arrested a 30-year-old man following a police pursuit, and as a result he’s facing a handful of charges. Police say around 5:00pm on July 22nd, the man was driving a Honda CBR around John Street when police tried to pull him over.

Instead, he quickly fled the scene and police were forced to pull back from following him due to public safety concerns. The man was found a short time later around Thomson Park where he was arrested.

He’s facing one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, one count of flight from police, one count of driving while under suspension and one count of disobeying a stop sign. The man was held in custody for bail.
