Barrie man arrested after trying to sell crack to an undercover officer

A 31-year-old man from Barrie has been arrested after he arranged to meet up with a man in North Bay to sell him crack cocaine, but the man turned out to be an undercover officer.

According to police, the man travelled to North Bay on July 22nd to complete the drug deal. Instead, he’s now facing one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking, one count of trafficking a substance and one count of possession of property obtained by crime.

Police also seized 22 grams of crack cocaine, with a street value of $2750 as well as $1390 in cash. The man’s 2007 black Acura was also seized as offence related property. He was released with court date of September 12th.
