North Bay’s former deputy fire chief faces fraud related charges

A former fire official with the North Bay Fire Department faces fraud related charges.   The charges against Mike Figliola are fraud, uttering a forged document and breach of trust by a public official.   Figliola was North Bay’s deputy fire chief when he left in 2014 and was hired as Fire Chief of Sault Ste. Marie.  However last December, the East Algoma OPP began to investigate the 58-year-old at the request of the Sault municipal police.  Then three months ago on May 8th, Figliola was gone as Chief but no one is saying if he was fired or quit of his own accord.  Figliola lives in the Iron Bridge area and appears in court August 28th.
