North Bay OPP arrest drunk Argo driver on Highway 17

An impaired driver of an Argo has been arrested by the OPP after they caught him driving down Highway 17 with one headlight and no tail lights. Police say on July 29th at 1:30am, an officer stopped the 23-year-old North Bay man to investigate. After speaking to the driver, it was apparent he had been drinking alcohol.

As a result, he’s facing one count of Driving While Ability Impaired by Alcohol, and one count of Driving with more than 80milligrams of Alcohol in his Blood. The man was released on a recognizance, and has a court date scheduled for August 8th.

The OPP also sent out a reminder to drivers that no consumption of drug or alcohol is safe when driving. Anyone who suspects a driver that is driving while impaired is urged to call police by dialing 9-1-1 immediately.
