MNRF looking for the public’s help to identify debris dumper near New Liskeard

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is looking for the public’s help to identify the people responsible for dumping a large amount of litter on public land west of New Liskeard. A release states on July 18th, a red tractor trailer cab with a dump box was seen heading south on Wabi Pit Line in Kerns Township and shortly after left the area heading eastbound on Highland Road.

Members of the public later discovered a large pile of debris dropped on public land at the south end of Wabi Pit Line, and notified conservation officers. The material is a mix of scrap metal and earth, which the MNR suggests originated from the demolition of a building or the cleanup of an industrial site. The ministry is looking for information from anyone who may have been in the area to see the truck drop the debris, or who has information regarding the individual or individuals who committed the violation.
