More than 1,600 delegates will be attending the 2017 Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) conference in Ottawa from August 14-16.
North Bay will be represented by Mayor Al McDonald, Councillors Mac Bain, Mark King and Jeff Serran, as well as CAO Keith Robicheau.
In looking ahead to the conference, McDonald is keeping an eye on several points of interest as they relate to North Bay. The local delegation will attend sessions focusing on:
- Economic Development
- Ring of Fire
- ONTC
- Cassellholme Redevelopment
- Changes by LHIN
- Hydrogen Forum
- Community Energy Park
- Proposed Municipal Asset Management Regulations
- Ontario Communities Infrastructure Fund
- Employment Training for Abused and At-Risk Women Programs
