Canadore offers workshops for First Nation students on land guardian and stewardship

First Nation students have begun a series of workshops at Canadore College designed to teach them more about the land they live on.   The three week program is geared toward 15 to 30 year olds and teaches them how leadership is used as a positive influence over the care of the land.  Canadore formed an agreement with the Economic Development Office at the Nipissing First Nation and Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry in order to offer the program.  The federal government also stepped up with a $76,000 grant to make the workshops possible.
