Near North Crime Stoppers undertakes another of its major fundraisers in just a matter of days. The crime-fighting group is holding its annual Crime Stoppers Golf Tournament on August 25th. The format is a four person scramble with the shot gun start at 1:00pm. This is the 21st year for the annual fundraiser, which this year is at the Highview Golf Course in Powassan. The cost for participants is $100 per golfer. The fee includes 18 holes of golf, a golf cart and dinner. Prizes are awarded for the longest drive for ladies and men, the closest to the pin for ladies and men and $5,000 for the Hole in One. There is only space for 18 teams so admission is based on a first come, first served basis.
