A Callander man has been charged for failing to yield after a woman was fatally struck on Lakeshore Drive at the end of September. The 73-year-old driver struck the woman with his truck while she was crossing Lakeshore, when the “walk” signal was on. She died of her injuries the next day. Police say speed and impairment were not factors.
