City of North Bay seeks permanent voice

After a recent round of interviews with applicants for the communications officer position did not produce a candidate who checked all of the boxes, the City of North Bay will again embark on another round of the hiring process.

The position has been vacant since the former communications officer, Jaclyn Bucik left her role in the spring. Bucik was the first to fill the position and the City has been going without an interim or replacement communications officer since Bucik left.

At least one local is known to have applied and despite considerable credentials did not make it past the interview process. The job posting has been re-posted on the City website.

The qualifications for the position are extensive, and include:

“The successful candidate will possess a University degree, or equivalent, in communications, journalism, business or public administration combined with a minimum of 7 years of proven experience in the development and implementation of strategic corporate communications plans, preferably in municipal or public sector environment.”
