New police constables have strong ties to community

After their swearing-in ceremony, Friday, North Bay natives Haley Field and Aila Udeschini are officially constables and the newest members of the North Bay Police Service (NBPS).

Field and Udeschini both attended the same elementary school, and later, St. Joseph-Scollard Hall, and the pair recently returned from their 12-week basic constable training at Ontario Police College.

The hirings bring the total number of sworn female officers serving on the NBPS to 16. Chief Shawn Devine presented the new constables with their badges at the ceremony.
