Temagami gets treatment plant grants

Temagami can move forward with three infrastructure projects thanks to grants from the federal and provincial governments.  The projects have a combined total cost of $183,000 and the federal government will cover half the bill.   Nipissing-Timiskaming MP Anthony Rota delivered that news personally to Temagami.  The province and the municipality will split the balance.  The money covers work to overhaul the community’s north and south water treatment plants as well as cleanout a lagoon in the south end. Temagami Mayor Lorie Hunter says the cash infusion helps ensure the community has a regular source of safe water.
