After 56 days Callander will party like it’s Canada Day

Callander is gearing up for one its biggest parties yet. Long known for putting on one of the most impressive fireworks displays in the area, pyrotechnics lovers will be able to double their pleasure this Saturday.

Callander officials promised disappointed residents that they would make good with the Canada Day 150 celebration fireworks, and the time has arrived. The Canada Day fireworks had to be cancelled due to inclement weather.

The fireworks display will be augmented by many other activities, including another fireworks display. Sirens in the Park is a family event taking place at the Callander waterfront, beginning Saturday at 10 a.m. There will be plenty of activities for children, including inflatables and face painting, ending at 5 p.m. At 8 p.m. the park will serve as an outdoor movie theatre. The movie Sing will be the feature. The fireworks will follow the show.
