The North Bay Police Service is reminding residents to be cautious when providing personal information in person, online or over the phone. If in doubt, contact the company or organization directly.
On Aug. 24, police received a complaint about a woman attempting to pass herself off as a Hydro One representative. The woman offered rebates for furnace updates in her pitch. Hydro One has been contacted and NBPS says the company is confirming that no such promotions are currently being advertised.
